All voters whose names are included in the voter list of a village or ward are members of the respective Gram Sabha or Ward Sabha.
👤 Convener & Chairman
- The convener is a ward member.
- If necessary, a nearby ward member can be appointed as the convener.
- The Gram Panchayat President/Municipal Chairperson will preside.
📅 Meetings
- It is the convener's responsibility to call the meeting.
- Quorum: 10% of total voters.
- Quorum for the adjourned meeting: 50 members.
- A special meeting must be called within 15 days if requested by 10% of voters.
📝 Members' rights
- You can submit questions and suggestions.
- Resolutions may be presented on matters within the jurisdiction.
- The resolution can be passed based on majority.
